The polls in Florida have opened today and with that in mind we thought we would look at some on the No On Amendment 2 adverts. Some of the propaganda you see below will be shocking but don’t worry its full of lies and we’ve taken the time to show how it’s wrong. Well it didn’t take that long as a quick search soon brought us to the facts.
Video 1- No medical standards, no pharmacists, no prescriptions
Here’s how they are wrong. According to amendment 2, in the first few lines of the summary it states:
“Allows medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating medical conditions as determined by a licensed Florida physician. Allows caregivers to assist patients’ medical use of marijuana. The Department of Health shall register and regulate centers that produce and distribute marijuana for medical purposes and shall issue identification cards to patients and caregivers.”
Did they even read the amendment before making this video?
Video 2- Only 3% of medical patients have Aids and Cancer
Here’s how they are wrong. Well obviously the amendment is just about legalizing Marijuana, it’s a Medical Marijuana bill it’s clearly not about anything else. As for it being a scam again the bill clearly states it is only to be prescribed for people with the following conditions;
- Cancer
- Epilepsy
- Glaucoma
- HIV
- AIDS
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- Crohn’s disease
- Parkinson’s disease
- Multiple sclerosis
Video 3- Pot’s Not Medicine
Here’s how they are wrong- The gist of this is that Marijuana can’t be medicine because it doesn’t come in a little white container and because some people choose to smoke to it. Let’s look at Marinol first the one that is “medicine”. Marinol is a a synthetic cannabis used for AIDS patients to restore appetite and reduce Nausea. Marinol lists amongst its side effects nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, depressed mood, muscle pain and vision problems. That list of side effects is just a list of conditions that medical marijuana is known to reduce. That along with Marinols overdose warnings tells me that I should stick with the MMJ.
What about Marijuana isn’t medicine because you smoke it. I guess they have never seen vaporizers, the Mystabis Inhaler or the array of CBD oils used. In case anyone reading this is planning on voting No based on these videos here is a a video of Millie, a child using CBD Oil for their epilepsy, before CBD oil she had over 700 seizures a day and tried lot’s of FDA approved medications, only cannabis worked.
