Just a few months ago, the results of an extensive scientific study were published which in one fell swoop illustrated just how enormous the lack of balance and logic is with regard to today’s drug policies. It was a case of studying the harmful effects of alcohol and marijuana, in order to compare and contrast them like for like and to some extent draw a line under the long-standing argument. And while they set out with the expectation that marijuana would probably prove no more harmful than alcohol, even the researchers were surprised to find that cannabis was in fact 114 times LESS harmful than alcohol.

Or to put it another way, they determined alcohol to be 114 times more harmful than cannabis. And yet, the former of the two is still 100% legal. Hard science, hard facts, complete and utter nonsense policy.
