You only have to think of things the other way around to realise just how ridiculous the whole cannabis versus alcohol debate really is. Imagine for a moment if cannabis had been legally and readily available for many generations, while alcohol remained strictly prohibited. If there were calls to legalise alcohol, the kicks would no doubt be up in arms about the potentially disastrous consequences of unleashing this supremely toxic and dangerous drug on the public. From domestic violence to anti-social behaviour to obesity to addiction to liver failure to cancer to violence and all manner of psychological health problems, why would anyone in their right mind seek to legalise such a horrific substance?
And it’s also the same with tobacco – the world’s leading cause of lung cancer and a product that has been proven thousands of times over to have absolutely no beneficial properties to human health whatsoever.
None. Not even one.
But no – here we are in an era with both such substances readily available and 100% legal, yet something exponentially safer and perhaps even beneficial is being held back.
The alcohol versus cannabis argument needs putting to bed…and there are now a further 114 reasons why!
