For example, you could probably have figured out for yourself that cannabis has been used all over the world for quite some time. However, you might not have realised quite how far back evidence of marijuana use really goes. As a recreational product purely for enjoyment purposes, it’s known that marijuana use dates back to around 2,700 BC. However, it is also now known that it was in fact Ancient Chinese civilisations that may very well have pioneered the use of recreational cannabis in the first place. It’s no secret that the Greeks and the Romans alike were extremely fond of recreational cannabis. Nevertheless, they didn’t start making use of marijuana until at least a millennium after the Chinese started toking.  Suffice to say therefore, this is one civilisation we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to!
