Just as there will always be those who call themselves potheads but are nothing of the sort, other habitually deny what’s obvious to everyone around them. Is being a pothead something to be proud of? It depends who you ask, but if you’re happy with what you do and love the way you live your life, why the hell should you care what anyone else think?
Of course, much of it comes down to the fact that people don’t like to be labelled – something we totally understand and agree with. Nevertheless, living the stoner lifestyle means having to deal with pretty constant labelling and stereotyping – it’s all part and parcel of the job! And for those who really do live the lifestyle day in and day out, being referred to as a ‘pothead’ represents less an insult and more an obvious statement of the truth.
A Rough Definition
But with stoners existing at so many levels, what exactly constitutes a pothead? Or more importantly, how can you tell if you yourself have crossed the line from casual smoker into full pothead territory?
Well, things differ from one person to the next as we all have different consumption habits. But at the same time, there are certain things all professional potheads have in common, which when combined create something of a pothead checklist.
